Did you ever really think about time? It’s so weird. We recently saw photos of light that was emitted 11 billion years ago. Time moves faster in the mountains than it does at sea level, but there are infinite timeline dimensions… so somewhere that probably isn’t true. Also in another time dimension you may not even exist. Might as well have that extra churro and enjoy the ride. #carlorovelli

An incredibly rare find… this UTC transformer wa

An incredibly rare find… this UTC transformer was still wrapped in its original wax paper in its original cardboard box, from 1965. It will be used in a “wolfbox”, a Motown style direct box, for a recording studio. You can still buy Motown style direct boxes from ACME, but they don’t use the vintage transformers, and they cut a lot of corners with switches and input/outputs. This is that James Jamerson sound that is so elusive - direct into the console, no amp, just a nice transformer and a few carbon comp resistors. Found this transformer in Brazil and it took a while to get to the states, but what a beauty! #motown #di #recordingstudio
